Jared Brown, Artistic Director
At present Jared Brown is an esteemed drama instructor with the The Young Actors Project, freelance teaching high energy and creativity inducing workshops in elementary schools throughout the greater Vancouver area.
A graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada; Jared has a rich and diverse resume, spanning over 20 years through theatre, TV, and radio. Selected credits include work with The Shaw Festival, C.B.C. television and radio, The Canadian Film Centre, The Vancouver Film School, The History Channel, Sociable Films, The Tarragon Theatre, Ante M Theatre and more.
Jared brings a wealth of experience to all of his classes, sharing lessons passed on to him from numerous acting professionals throughout the world to ensure that your child has a truly unique and inspiring dramatic experience.
HYPE's acting class is designed especially for young people interested in dramatic performance. This 33 week course is for students ages 13-17, and is adapted from post secondary level theatre classes, made accessible for young people, to enhance there knowledge of character building, and ultimately improve there acting in live performance. We with work with many different theatre disciplines including work in Improvisation, Shakespeare, Monologue Work,Masks, Voice, Movement, Neutral Mask and more. Every student will gain a leg up, while improving not only there own acting skills but self confidence as well.
