Youth Acting Classes  (10-13yrs)

Hype is offering new advanced classes in acting for young actors ages 10 - 13 years old. Classes will be starting January 2016 at the Historic Presentation House Theatre in North Vancouver. Artistic Director Jared Brown will be ushering in the new year with 10 weeks of professional classes in Voice, Movement, Scene Work, Mask, Clown, Improvisation and Directing.

Each class runs from 4:30pm till 6:00pm beginning January 8th until March 11th.

The final class will be an evening for the young actors to showcase their talents for family and friends.

Total cost is $200.00 for 10 weeks or $20.00 per class.

Highschool Drama Classes

This 3 - 5 part workshop is designed to give your secondary school drama class a sneak peek into the professional world of acting. 

Jared Brown will give drama students a chance to work on professional level exercises passed on from various professionals throughout the world.  Fear not, all of these acting challenges will be fun and entertaining, and will leave your students wanting more.

3 x 90 minute classes per day specializing in Acting & Dramatic Arts.

Students receive instruction in Scene Study, Neutral Mask, Voice, Movement, Improvisation, Audition Technique, Introduction to Shakespeare & more!

Cost is $250.00 per day (3 x 90) minute classes

Private Group/Personal Acting Classes (5-18yrs)

Hype Drama is always offering Private beginner and advanced level acting classes for young actors from the ages of 5 - 18 years old.  If your child is interested in becoming a professional or just wanting to have some fun, HYPE drama is always available for Private classes.  Get a group of friends together or enlist our services one on one.  

Your Young Actor can learn a variety of skills from our Artistic Director Jared Brown

Audition Technique, Scene Study, Monologue Work, Shakespeare, Improvisation, Theatre Games, Character Mask, Neutral Mask, Vocal Masque, Voice, Movement, Character Study and much more!

Rates as low as $20 per hour, but will vary depending on number of participants.

Shakespeare Inside Out

Introducing the "Shakespeare Bath".  Give your students the leg up with a professional actor in the classroom, providing lessons to better comprehend and enjoy the Bard.  

Professional actor Jared Brown will run your students through a dynamic Shakespeare workshop based on an intensive taught at The National Theatre School of Canada.  Have your play taught in a fun, inspiring and educational way that will have your students speaking Elizabethan Drama in the hallways.  Choose from a variety of options.

3 Classes per day specializing in Shakespeare and the Elizabethan era.
